Industry Connections

Industry Connections

At Rowan College of South Jersey, we are committed to providing our students with a quality education taught by distinguished faculty and the industry connections required to successfully launch their careers. In service of this goal, the College looked to establish “HR Direct" connections with human resource departments charged with finding new talent and familiar with the credentials needed for their employees.

Building relationships and engaging in consistent dialogue has led to tremendous partnership growth at RCSJ. Each of our three partner segments are built around the “HR Direct" concept to enable us to connect our students and graduates with local employers who are eager for well-educated, skilled employees.

Premier Partners

In 2022, RCSJ entered its first Premier Partnership with Inspira Health to help meet the workforce demands of the South Jersey healthcare industry. The standard for future Premier Partnerships was set with them, which consists of:

  • Research and Development: Premier Partners guide the College on what new programs and credentials are in-demand within their industry.
  • Teaching Opportunities: Qualified, credentialed partner employees have the opportunity to teach courses at RCSJ and serve on Program Advisory Committees.
  • Employee Discounts: Premier Partner employees receive a minimum discount of 40% on tuition and fees for both credit and non-credit programs.
  • Scholarships:  Premier Partners have up to 25 student scholarships created in their name. The number of scholarships and qualification criteria varies by industry.

The Premier Partner distinction is also assigned because of a $1 million donation to RCSJ, which supports the cost of R&D and is applied to scholarships. In recognition of this donation, Premier Partners will have a College building named for them.

Our current Premier Partners include Inspira Health benefiting our Nursing and Health Professions Division, Acenda Integrated Health benefiting our Behavioral Sciences and Law & Social Justice Division and Rastelli Foods Group benefiting our Divisions of Business Studies and Career and Technical Education.

Community & Commerce Education Partnership (CCEP)

Giving back to local businesses and those who serve our communities is a foundational pillar of a community college. In that spirit, the Community & Commerce Education Partnership offers a 33% tuition and fee discount during the Fall and Spring semesters to partnership participants and their employees.

For years, the CCEP was available only to Chamber of Commerce members, but recently we have extended the discount to our educators and K-12 support staff through NJEA, non-member support staff of the Gloucester County School Districts, the Gloucester County Vocational-Technical School District and the Gloucester County Special Services School District. This extension led to a discussion of program needs in education, which resulted in the development of a new Certificate of Achievement in Neurodiversity and Inclusion, available for Fall 2023. Visit the CCEP page to learn more.

Workforce Investment Network (W.I.N.)

RCSJ aims to help businesses win in South Jersey and recently launched a new partnership network for that purpose. Industry is seeing unprecedented movement in employee turnover and businesses need additional support to attract and retain talent. The Workforce Investment Network (W.I.N.) was created to invite businesses to partner with the College and offer their current employees a 25% tuition discount on for-credit programs. Visit the W.I.N page to learn more.
